From the Artist
; annotationBalance of Knowledge-Balance of Power deals with the individual coming to a point in himself and society, being educated by its own example. The use of the arch for knowledge and balance; the spiral for inner strength;understanding and compassion; the lightning for physical strength and endurance. Power to the person.
—From Brandywine Workshop and Archives records
My work is inspired through other artists’lives. I’m inspired by people who have a story to tell. My art heroes are Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Vincent van Gogh, Francisco Goya, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Herring, and Jackson Pollock. I also love to paint like Jackson Pollock. I was painting in his style in college back in the '90sbefore I even knew who Pollock was. Something about just controlling color with pouring paint and no brush is very satisfying. Working in all kinds of different art mediums is a great way to continue to grow and evolve as a fine artist.
