About us

This website is owned and maintained by Brandywine Workshop and Archives, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit cultural institution founded in 1972. To learn more about BWA, visit brandywineworkshopandarchives.org.

All original prints offered for sale were published by BWA as part of its Visiting Artists in Residence program, in which more than 450 artists have participated since it was launched in 1975. The artworks are all limited-edition, signed originals or one-of-a-kind monoprints or variable editions; they will never be reprinted and the images will never be used for posters or sold in other commercial, “open edition” forms. Many of the prints artists have created as BWA Visiting Artists are included in major private and public collections across the United States and beyond. BWA Visiting Artists are—and have always been—ethnically and racially diverse, multigenerational, national and international, and represent the full range of professional trajectories—young-emerging, mid-career, and well-established. For detailed information on the artists and their work, visit the free online database Artura.org and search by name.

Net Proceeds from sales on this website go to support the nonprofit activities of BWA, including professional programs benefiting scholars-researchers, artists, educators, students, gallerists, and collectors as well as free public programs for people of all ages presented in-person and online  (see Artura.org).
