Mammy's Little Coal Black Roseis a print of a minstrel series consisting of eight drawings. These drawings will be used in my film The KKK Boutique Ain't Just Rednecks.

This print is referenced in the film The KKK Boutique Ain’t Just Rednecks produced by Camille Billops and her husband, James Hatch, in 1994. The film addresses stereotypes, racism, and the violent history of the United States. KKK is an acronym for Ku Klux Klan, a military white supremacist organization that commits violent and racist acts against people of color.

Camille Billops' aesthetic choices and creative repertoire are bold and disruptive interpretations of contemporary issues.
