A Sense of Insignificance is a piece that reflects my interest in finding and seeking answers to questions that we all want answers to:where do we come from and where are we going?I find that this landscape, particularly the southern landscape, is a way to see parallels with man. The way film cycles exist are more apparent with the seasons. The way that trees rise and hold on to the earth in the same ways we do. The sense of insignificance is the sense that I feel in this search. The more I seek the less I understand and know.I find how that belief systems from cultures around the world have similar acceptance. Although I, unlike them, am too different. I find the photography about one's insignificance to the whole to be more accurate to the way we see, to me, as all-powerful in Western thinking.
