From the Artist
El Veso is a continuation of my Mujeres y Perros series (or Women and Dogs), which depict the harassing treatment of men towards women, catcalls and such, and oppressive behavior men insist on. [The oppressive dog] can also be seen as a government or society and [its]treatment towards the masses. Keeping them down.

I consider myself an artist and have been that all my life, so what I paint is…life. My ideas come from seeing everything possible in the outside world. The light goes on, I visualize a painting, then paint it. My subjects vary from being a single mother to dancers, to my thoughts on the environment. My other favorite mediumis printing…silkscreen. I have done many serigraphs throughout my life and my art is now part of many universities and private collections.
