From the Artist
Ihad just traveled with my husband up the East Coast. He was doing a film;I think they were shooting in New Hampshire and Vermont or somewhere. Anyway, it was duringleaf-peeper season, when the fall [of] the leaves are happening, andthe changes are happening, and I had always loved landscape painting. I’ve looked at [the] landscape quite a bit. Quite a few of my early paintings are of the landscape. Whenever I travelI paint, and so this was a kind of an impression that I had of that trip coming from Vermont to New Hampshire through Massachusetts down through Connecticut, upstate New York—what I was seeing in the colors and the feelings of it.
