From the Artist
TheWorkCrewis based on an anecdote a friend's father told me about aworkcrewhe used toworkon that would end each day listening to music, sometimes dancing. The image stuck with me and evolved over time. This print is my reimaginingof that scene. All too often, the focus on farmworkers is the difficult conditions in which they toil for little pay. While this may be one aspect of their lives, it shouldn't define them.
